You need the Jornus app to create/modify a journey

Mapping your journey with Jornus

• Download the Jornus app from Appstore or Playstore
• Click on "Map your journey" and select travel dates. Login with your Google account if prompted

After map is generated, you can

• Click on markers to edit the information and choose icons
• Right click (or long press on mobile devices) to add new markers
• Add an introduction. Add photos from Facebook, Instagram, Google Drive
• Share your journey with a link to your personal map

Sharing photos using Google Drive

• Log into your Google Drive account
• Click the (+New) button and create a Folder. Name the folder appropriately
• Upload your photos to this folder. JPG and iPhone photo formats supported
• Change the sharing settings for the folder to "Anyone with link can view"
• Copy the link to this folder. Use it to add photos to jorn.us

Why Google Drive?
jorn.us is a small non-commercial app. We cannot afford to store user photos.

Specific uses of user data

Google Maps Location History

• We use your Google Authentication to fetch your location history data.
• Your location history data is processed and converted into map features (lines and markers).
• Map features are included in the information stored when you share your journey.
• Your raw location history data is not stored by this website.
• To display your travels, map features are shared with Leaflet API.

Instagram, Facebook & Google Drive photos

• Your Instagram media, Facebook albums and photos from shared Google Drive folder are collected when you connect those services to jorn.us.
• The locations (latitude/longitude) and links to your photos are shared with Leaflet API which draws it on the map.
• Location, captions and links are also stored when you share your journey.

Storing your information

• The share feature of jorn.us stores information necessary to reconstruct the map you have built.
• This includes processed map features (lines and markers) as well as information about photos (locations and links).
• Map introduction, contact information (if provided while sharing the map) and specified travel dates are also stored.

Cookies

Third-party libraries used by jorn.us use cookies. Third party libraries that use cookies include Google Analytics and Font Awesome.
